radio resume for k8gu
- First licensed: 1993, at age 12
- How I got interested: Dad (N8ZYL) was interested as a kid but never
licensed. He decided to give it a try. His studying for the test inspired
me. So, we did it together. Our friends Tim, N8ZYI, and Doran, N8ZYJ (SK,
father of W9GR), took the tests the same day.
- How I got interested in CW: Had to for the Extra. Worked RU1AW on 20 CW in January 1997 when I couldn't hear any DX on 20 SSB.
